Terms of service
Last updated: date
These terms apply to restaurants that use Onetap, and set out how guests may use Onetap's ordering, payment, booking and rewards pages. By signing up for a plan or using the service you agree to them.
The parties
The service is provided by Company legal name, trade licence / commercial registration number, registered address. "Restaurant" means the business that signs up, and its staff.
The service
Onetap provides table ordering by NFC and QR, payment at the table, online ordering, reservations, loyalty, an AI concierge, kitchen and Till apps, inventory, staff tools, marketing tools and insights, depending on the plan. Features may change as the product develops; we will not remove a core feature of a paid plan during a paid term without notice.
Accounts
The restaurant owner is responsible for the accounts they create, for staff roles and PINs, and for keeping sign-in details secure. Tell us at support email if you suspect unauthorised use.
Plans, fees and taxes
Plans are charged per branch, monthly or yearly, as shown on the pricing page or in your order form. A payment fee applies to online and pay-at-table payments. Prices exclude VAT, which is added where applicable.
Monthly plans can be cancelled to stop at the end of the month. Yearly plans run for the year paid. Confirm refund policy for yearly plans.
Payments
Guest card payments are processed by Tap Payments under the restaurant's own merchant account. The restaurant is the seller of record for its food and drink and is responsible for its prices, refunds and chargebacks.
The restaurant's responsibilities
Keep menus, prices (including VAT), allergen and calorie information accurate and up to date.
Hold the licences your business needs and comply with consumer, food safety, tax and data protection laws, including getting guests' consent before sending marketing.
Use the guest data you receive through Onetap only for your restaurant and in line with our data processing terms (link to DPA).
AI features
The AI concierge and AI-drafted content can make mistakes. Staff should confirm allergen questions with the kitchen, and review AI-drafted posts and review replies before publishing.
Acceptable use
Don't use Onetap to break the law, send spam, misrepresent a business, interfere with the service or other restaurants' data, or try to get around security or usage limits.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Onetap available at all times but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside service hours where possible. Support is by email and WhatsApp; the Diwan plan includes an agreed service level.
Data and ownership
The restaurant owns its menu, content and guest data. We process guest data on the restaurant's behalf as described in our privacy policy. When an account closes, the restaurant can export its data for period before it is deleted, except what we must keep by law.
Onetap, its software and brand remain ours. We grant the restaurant the right to use the service during its subscription.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees the restaurant paid us in that period. Confirm liability cap with counsel. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend an account that is unpaid or that breaks these terms, after notice where reasonable. Either party may end the agreement as described under Plans.
Guests
Guests may use the ordering, payment, booking and rewards pages to deal with the restaurant. The restaurant, not Onetap, provides the food and service and handles complaints about them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by governing law, e.g. the laws of the UAE as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and disputes go to courts or arbitration seat.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we will give restaurants at least 30 days' notice of material changes. Questions: support email.
